Oh my freaking god. WAY WAY WAY more awesome tan I was expecting, and I was expecting a fair amount of awesome.



Spock/Uhura pissed me off initially, but I've come to see it in a different light: it sets precedent for Spock sexxing it up for reasons oter than logic or primitive mating urges that come every seven years. Hence: Kirk/Spock sex doesn't have to be wildly out of character anymore!

But I think my favourite thing about Star Trek was that it reset the universe, especially the TOS peeps. We can imagine any future now.

Anyone else thinking maybe a Q had a hand in some of those nifty coincidences? (Scotty, Spock Prime, and Kirk all ending up on the same planet/moon/whatev withing walking distance of each other? Really)

Quinto was excellent excellent excellent as Spock, although it took me a good chunk of the movie to stop comparing Spock to Sylar. Probably shouldn't have watched Heroes rig before going, lolz. Pine surprised and amazed me with his Kirk. Nimoy made me squee girlishly and embarrass myself.

Anyways, to conclude: Star Trek was awesome, period, end of sentence.
