So, had my H1N1 vaccine today - gotta love being on the priority list! Of the dozen or so needles I've had stuck in me over the last month, it was the least painful. In fact, I hardly felt it at all. Good, yeah?

Except now my arm is hurting like a really hurty thing. Ow.

Anyways, on to the topic: I'm not doing Nano this year, due to extreme cases of FAIL in recent years, but my system rebels at the idea of not doing insane amounts of crappy writing in November. It just feels wrong. So I've made a commitment to write 50000 words put together by the 30th. Yesterday I split the words between a DS9 AU I've been wanting to write for years, and a Torchwood/Dark Is Rising crossover I've been wanting to write for years. I highly doubt that either of these will ever be completed.

The point? I would much like prompts/requests. As many as possible, please - don't worry about giving me too many. Anything that's half-decent I'll edit and post as Xmas fics, the other stuff I may or may not post raw depending on how embarrassingly terrible it is.

Finally got in Control and Quis Custodiet, read them on Saturday. Very awesome, loved the new shorts. The 1st person POV was a bit of a surprise, but it was interesting to get B-C's POV.

Unfortunately, now I've ended up the the dreaded Land of Boredom. I have homework I should be doing, but I keep procrastinating, so, yeah, that's not happening.

(Also I have to get up early tomorrow morning & have blood taken at 9 in the morning. And I have to walk to the lab. Blech.)

No new Merlin this week, which is just depressing. I really like the bigger role they've given Morgana, hope they keep it up through the season.

. . . When I'm not busy hating you, that is.


Today, I received in my mail the following items:

Crusoe TV series DVD (watching right now - oh, show, so sad you died without an ending. T_T)
Supernatural Season 4 (Cas! CascascascasCAS!)
Hot Fuzz (been meaning to buy this for ages.)

Here's the thing about canceled TV shows: it hurts me, but most of the time it's not unexpected. However, when the network renews a show, and said show finishes a season with a cliffhanger, and then only after that does the network change their mind and cancel it after all, and I'm left with nothing even vaguely resembling a properly-ended storyline, then, then, I'm pissed off.

Anyways, I've ordered Quis Custodiet and Control from Casperian Books, so I'll spend the weekend rereading the first three. I was desperately poor when Control first came out, and by the time I had money again, QC had been announced and I figured I'd just wait and save the extra shipping.

I had about an hour of huge energy and feel-goodness today. Then it went away and I was tired.

I have come to the conclusion that it is well past time to do a reread of Petshop 1-10.

I shall attempt to do this slowly, reading no more than one volume a day.

Things done today:

- Bought textbooks (blech! expensive.)
- Cleaned out car
- Removed tangle from cat (wore rubber gloves for that)
- Took eleven(!) boxes out of my room & to the recycling.
- Sorted old textbooks into 'sell now'/'sell later'/donate/keep
- Listed ISBNs of all 'sell later' books on college website
- Spent 2 hours reorganizing books & DVDs


Tired now. Tomorrow is work, but possibly after that I will clean out my closet. Possibly.

Saw HBP tonight. Tom Felton was really very impressive. Overall, was pleased with it, though not ecstatic. Death Eater masks continue to irritate me. Didn't feel it was very clear ( spoilers! )

Loved the Hermione & Harry BFF moments - really well done.

Alan Rickman was awesome, but nothing new or notable about that, lol.
